As of March 2022, the list of the most popular mobile apps for iPhones on the iOS app store was topped by ecommerce giant Amazon’s app.
This is followed by SHEIN, a fashion shopping app with a focus on offering trendy clothing items at affordable prices.
US multinational retail chain Walmart is in third place. In 2020, the company shut down its groceries app and merged it with its main retail app. This is followed by Nike, one of the largest sporting brands, in fourth place.
Shop, ecommerce platform Shopify’s shopping assistant app, is in fifth place on the list of the best shopping apps. Despite Shop’s relatively recent release in April 2020, it has already burst into the top five. This is because Shop is actually a revamp of Shopify’s previous app, Arrive, which helped shoppers track their packages.

The list of the top shopping apps on the Android operating system looks slightly different. While the top few players are mostly the same, the biggest difference is their order.
SHEIN tops the list of best shopping apps on Google Play, followed by Amazon, Fetch Rewards, Walmart, and then Shop.
